I first taught Arabic type design course for third semester students at Faculty of Applied Arts and Art and Design Academy, 2002- 2007. The course was planned to introduce students the design and technical skills needed for developing professional Arabic lettering and logotypes as well as the beginning of an Arabic typeface. It has undergone constant development reaching the structure that I taught for fourth semester students of the German University in Cairo, 2012-2014, with the aim of designing Arabic typefaces and bilingual type appropriation. Leading them through processes of research, inception, sketching, designing, tracing and spacing.
