Shattered Fragments

The Contemporary Art Festival for Egyptian Women, Gezira Art Center, Cairo, Egypt - 2004

An attempt to retrieve fragments of my memory. Mixing the outcome of both physiological and psychological scanning processes, combined in a giant digital photomontage. Installed as patch work on a cylindrical tunnel of metal construction, 7 meters long on its exterior side, 2 meters high, and of diameter 180 cm.

At the end of the tunnel is a TV screen, connected to a hidden surveillance camera capturing the viewers' presence in the installation and projecting it instantly on the screen, as a statement of encoding the incidence of their presence as a bilateral shared memory.
