"Big Brother", a term describing constant panoptic surveillance. This work examines the struggle over privacy vs. the fascination with the act of surveillance.

 

The luring entrapment of the viewer in a cylindrical booth, packed with images of interesting strangers sharing the same curiosity, and semi- transparent mirrors that reflect one's own presence in the surrounding scene.

 

The booth is a metal construction, 2 meters high and 2 meters for the diameter. Models were photographed individually, digitally composed and manipulated creating the overall image. Printed on adhesive transparent sheets mounted on acrylic, thus depriving the viewer of any chance of privacy to enhance the concept of the work, that "The door swings both ways".
